CREAMED
CORN FROM GULLIVER'S
2 packages (20 ounces each) frozen kernel corn
2 cups whipping cream
1 teaspoon salt
6 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon MSG
Pinch of white or cayenne pepper
2 tablespoons melted butter
2 tablespoons flour
Grated Parmesan cheese
Combine all the ingredients (don't thaw the corn) except the butter and flour in
a pot and bring to a boil. Simmer 5
minutes. Melt the butter in a small pan and stir in flour.
Do not brown. Stir the butter-flour roux into corn and cook until
slightly thickened. Turn corn into
an oven-proof dish, sprinkle with cheese and dot with butter.
Brown under broiling unit. Makes
6 large servings.
