POTATOES
AU GRATIN
MARTHA JEAN BEDELL
3 Large Potatoes (approximately 2 pounds)
3/4 lb Velveeta Cheese, 1/4 inch slices (Don't
turn up your snoot!)
2 and 1/2 to 2 and 3/4 cups milk
2 teaspoons salt
1 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon Pepper (or to taste)
Grease 1 1/2 quart baking dish (meat loaf dish). Peel and thinly slice potatoes.
Layer the potatoes, slices of cheese, flour, salt and pepper.
The last layer should be potatoes, salt, pepper and topped with 2 or more
slices of cheese. Add milk so that the top layer of potatoes are almost
covered. Bake for 1 hour and 30
minutes at 350 degrees. Let stand
for a few minutes. The potatoes are
soupy - just the way I like them. Serves
four.
